OLD BECOMES NEW AGAIN

Hi All,

Just a quick blurb to let you all know I have signed up to become a demonstrator again.  I put in my pre-order of new in-colors, stamps and products.  I can't wait to receive and share them.

In the meantime, please contact me to let me know what you are interested in!  What do you want to see?  Are you looking to do more cards, 3-d projects, scrapbook/memory keeping?

Are you interested in doing a product share?   I am thinking about a color share for the new in-colors!
If you are not familiar with product shares, you along with a group of friends will receive a new color each month in the new in-color family.  For example: June's in-color may be Just Jade: All Participants will receive ribbon, ink pad, markers, cardstock, Designer Series paper and gems in Just Jade only.  The following month will be a separate color.   This is perfect for anyone on a budget who wants it all.

World Card Making Day Flashback Friday!

Hi All,
Remember me?  I have been busy creating away but have not posted in a while.   That is until Lisa from Sketch N Scrap gave me the honor of creating a card using a past sketch.   It was the first sketch featured on Sketch N Scrap!

Here is the original sketch from Sketch N Scrap:

And the card inspired by the sketch:

All products used are from Stampin' UP!
The jar & floral images are from the Jar of Love stamp set and the sentiment is from the Birthday Fiesta stamp set.
The washi tape and pattern paper are from the Affectionately Yours Suite.

I hope you enjoyed the card and it inspires you to create something using our Flashback Friday Sketch.

Lydia

Sketch #82

Ready for another layout sketch.  This is a bittersweet one!
It is my last sketch as a design team member.
My two terms are up and it is time to let some new talent in.

Here is Sketch #82 by Lisa Hidy:

Here is my interpretation of  the sketch:

I used bits and scraps of a few leftover kits.  I really love the way it all came together.

I mentioned above this is my last layout as a design team member.  Which means we are having a design team Call.  Please click below for details.

Sketch N Scrap Birthday Bash Challenge

Hi All,
I hope you have been going joining us all month for our Birthday Bash!
Today's challenge is create a layout using the same color with three different patterns!

Need an example?
I created this layout using the color Yellow (or golden yellow) with three different patterns:

The first pattern is the embossed dot cardstock, the 2nd pattern is with stars and the third is the diagonal striped pattern on the chevron.
If you look closely you can pick three different patterns with the red & black colors also!

Have fun and upload your layouts for a fun prize!
The rules:
1.  Create a layout using the same color with three different patterns.
2.  Post a link for the layout on your blog in the comments below.
3.  There must be at least 5 entries to win a prize!
You will have until June 10th to link your blog post.   On June 11th I will pick a winner.

Card Sketch # 50

Hi All,

Are you ready for another card sketch?
This one was super easy and looks great!
Sketch #50 was created by Lisa:

I created my card using both retired and current Stampin' Up supplies:

The strips are from a retired DSP, I used the 12"sticker borders.  I loved the effect and colors!  The borders were my starting point in choosing colors and stamps.

Now go check out the Sketch N Scrap blog to see the beautiful cards the Design Team created using the same sketch.

National Scrapbooking Day Sketch ( A Little Late)

Hi All,

As I am preparing my post for the next upcoming sketches and challenges, I realized my National Scrapbooking Day Post was not published!  (I must admit I saved the post but didn't schedule it!)

So here it is a little late, but a sketch can ALWAYS be used right!
Heck you can created loads of different layouts with the same sketch.  That is what we do every month at Sketch N Scrap.  We are given 1 sketch and a team of designers create very different layouts using the same sketch.

Well enough with my babbling...
Here is the NSD Sketch created by Lisa:
http://sketchnscrap.blogspot.com/2015/05/happy-national-scrapbooking-day.html

And this is what I created:

The left page of this double pager was created using the sketch and since I had additional photos, I extended the page and used the same PP to tie the two pages together.

Check out the layouts created by the Design Team using this sketch!
You still have until the end of the month to submit your layout and don't forget to head to the Sketch N Scrap blog for our daily challenges and prizes for our Birthday Bash!

Lydia
